Successful customer migration to the new Data & Cloud Center
We recently moved to our new headquarters and Data & Cloud Center in Den Bosch. To ensure the move went smoothly for both Interconnect and its customers, a project team was set up.
We recently moved to our new headquarters and Data & Cloud Center in Den Bosch. Moving customers does not happen in one day. In order to manage the move for both Interconnect and its customers, a project team has been set up.
Preparing to move
“Relocating customers was necessary because our former data center in Den Bosch will soon be completely closed,” Jan-Willem begins. He explains that the entire relocation was no small project: “Companies do not simply move from one data center to another. In many cases, organizations are dependent on the hardware and data that they house in a data center.”
It is no secret that a move in general often involves risks. Safe moving is crucial for the business continuity of our customers. Everything has been done to ensure this runs smoothly and to avoid risks. Jan-Willem: “As a trusted advisor and knowledge partner, it is important that we advise and support the customer with the knowledge and experience that we have in-house. In order to achieve this, we sent a checklist with points of attention to the customers in advance. Thanks in part to this checklist, our customers were able to prepare well for the move and knew what to expect.”
Future-oriented: customer business strategy
In addition to the checklist that our customers received, the project also looked at the business strategy of customers. With the realization of our new Data & Cloud Center, we also set up a new modular portfolio. This results in future-oriented, also for our customers: “Our new Data & Cloud Center meets the latest wishes and requirements in the field of data and hardware storage. This gives us the opportunity to focus on the future together with our customers.”
Due to the new possibilities, the vision for the future was examined together with the customer during the process: “As an organization, you can look at the current situation. However, in order to grow, it is important for an organization to keep up with the ever-changing needs in the market. A suitable business strategy is leading in this. An IT infrastructure partner who thinks along with you about the possibilities based on the business strategy is therefore not an unnecessary luxury. We also saw this. Interconnect stands for accessibility, reliability and availability. We have managed to convey this again by talking to our customer about the new possibilities in our Data & Cloud Center.”
The progress of the move
Due to all the preparations made and the extensive conversations that were held with customers, the entire move went relatively smoothly. When asked what stood out during the process, Jan-Willem responds with a laugh: “There are customers that you remember. For example, there were customers who had worked out the move down to the last detail in their own checklist. One that looked like ours. This is nice to see, because it shows that the preparatory work also had an impact.”
