Data and Cloud Center Interconnect has received the energy label A+++++ for its head office in 's-Hertogenbosch. The label is a guideline from the European Commission and symbolizes the highest standard in the field of energy efficiency.

Milestone

A+++++ means that a maximum of 0.00 kWh/m² of energy is used per year. Interconnect uses -7.93 kWh/m² per year, which corresponds to -1.86 kg CO² /m² per year. A result that shows how high sustainability and innovation are at Interconnect's disposal, according to CEO Rob Stevens. "With this new energy label, we have received confirmation that our continuous efforts to continue to innovate are paying off. And we are very proud of that."

Minimal environmental impact

Where many people think of large consumption and environmental pollution when they think of data centers, our ultramodern head office in the capital of Brabant shows that the impact on the environment is minimal. And this was consciously considered in the design and construction of the main location.

The building is insulated with sustainable materials, only green energy is used and the office is also heated with residual heat from the data center. "The creation of our new data center did not happen overnight," says Stevens. "The fact that we have achieved this result is also something we have   partly due to the intensive cooperation with our partners and suppliers.”

Keep innovating

With the A+++++ label we show that we are a pioneer in the sector when it comes to responsible energy management. The next pioneering step is to connect even more with society and people by returning residual heat from the data center in Eindhoven to the Meerhoven district.
