We both have a very strong focus on the customer and customer satisfaction, with short lines of communication and a personal approach as our top priority.

That is the motto under which IT service provider Fenêtre has been working since 2004. At that time, Roger Hendriks and Eric Kruis started the company with the ambition to provide customers with high-quality online solutions that really work. In 2023, the company serves a broad customer base in various sectors, ranging from education and government to healthcare and financial services. In this, cooperation within a close-knit partner network is important to Fenêtre.

“We have been working closely with Interconnect for more than ten years to provide a strong technology platform for our services and solutions,” says Eric Kruis. “Such a long period says enough about our collaboration. That certainly has to do with the fact that our organizations are similar. We both have a very strong focus on the customer and customer satisfaction, where we maintain short lines and the personal approach is paramount. Nowadays, you can go to many parties for hosting. However, Interconnect offers a lot more, which makes their service stand out. At Fenêtre, we are very happy with the clear and strict procedures, which is also reflected in various certifications such as NEN 7510, ISO and ISAE. We have both been strongly complementary for more than 10 years.”

Safety and reliability

When Fenêtre received a request from a major financial services client in 2022 to further develop a data exchange solution, they looked for a way to provide this client with a solid foundation. “In financial services, security and reliability play a crucial role,” says Kruis. “And those are precisely the characteristics of the Interconnect Cloud.”

Virtual datacenters

This platform is based on VMware Cloud Director, which offers the ideal technology for customers to create virtual datacenters, with which they can optimally provide their individual customers with services. Thanks to the multi-tenant concept, it is possible to offer each end customer a separate, private virtual datacenter based on shared infrastructure in the Interconnect datacenter. Interconnect also provides network access and security.

Efficient management

According to Eric Kruis, one of the major advantages of the platform is the central management console. “This allows you to manage all your virtual datacenters via a single screen. That is extremely practical. Resources are so easy to distribute and the use of all those resources is maximally transparent. This allows you to be very accountable to every customer with a virtual datacenter. In addition, Interconnect offers a portal in which we can easily track all tickets. That also provides more overview and insight.”

Maximum flexibility in service provision

Another major advantage, Kruis mentions, is the availability of additional services, such as anti-DDoS. “For some of our customers, that is an important service. Interconnect’s platform is particularly suitable for larger customers who want to limit downtime to an absolute minimum, who want maximum security and who want to remain flexible. Interconnect is also one of the few that offers the option to quickly and easily switch to another supplier, should a customer ever want to do so. You don’t have to try that with many other parties. We are also positive about the fact that you can easily upgrade your Windows licenses at Interconnect. Not every supplier offers that either.”

All in all, according to Kruis, Fenêtre made the right choice in 2022 by opting for the Interconnect Cloud and Cloud Director. “In our sector, developments are moving fast and you have to continuously innovate. With this platform, we offer our customers a fully up-to-date solution that responds to their requirements.”
